How Did I Start? Where Did I Hear About King Coffee?
I heard about King Coffee from The Glowing Fridge blog! I’ve followed Shannon for a long time and admire her, love her work, and continue to learn from her all the time. How To Make King Coffee
Making King Coffee at home both hot and iced is SO incredibly easy! I have a TON of photos and videos on my Instagram @theveganfempire if you haven’t followed me yet! Let’s talk about ‘brewing’ a cup of this magic.
How To Make A Hot Reishi Latte
- Heat water in a kettle or brew hot water in a coffee pot ( I just use my Keriug for this)
- Add in your King Coffee sachet, mix well
- optional* use an electric frother to have a BETTER than Starbucks reishi latte right at home. Most importantly, the best part of the frother is you can make cold foam as well to enjoy an ICED latte also!
- Add in whatever non dairy milk or creamer you like either directly to the coffee or in your frother. My ride or die has always been Silk’s Original Soy Creamer.
- Add in’s – stevia, CBD, non dairy whipped cream!
How To Make An Iced Reishi Latte
- Heat a small amount of water, I use the smallest teacup setting on my Keriug for this.
- Dissolve your King Coffee sachet in the hot water
- Pour over ice, add cold water to balance
- Add frothed foam, or non dairy milk/cream to your iced reishi latte!
- Add in’s – stevia, CBD, non dairy whipped cream!
Is King Coffee Safe During Pregnancy?
I’m going to refer to my King Coffee mentor on this one. According to The Glowing Fridge’s certified hormone specialist Shannon Leparski says, “It would be unethical to test on pregnant or breastfeeding women and I can’t make those claims. What I will say is that reishi is a FUNCTIONAL FOOD and protects the fetus. It’s not just another supplement…There are many claims that it helps with milk production as well.”
Meanwhile, Shannon is a new mom herself and she drank King Coffee throughout her entire pregnancy, and during her postpartum journey as well! Our team is the Reishi Royalty team, and there are many new mushroom mamas who share their experiences with reishi, pregnancy, and nursing. Is King Coffee For Everyone?
The reishi spores do have detoxifying properties. So if you are someone who has a build-up of toxins, parasites, excess candida, yeast, and your body experiences some of those detoxifying properties excessively King Coffee may be too much for your system at first and I would suggest you start with the Black Coffee from Organo. The Black Coffee is incredibly healing and contains the Lucidium which is the body of the reishi mushroom. It does not contain the reishi spores, therefore, resulting in a gentler blend with less detoxing properties. I didn’t experience any excessive detoxing upon starting King Coffee.
